久々に、魅力を感じる製品が発表になりました。
ソニーのVGN-U50です。
内容は、Windows XPが動作する世界最小サイズのPC
最小、最軽量好きにはたまならない表記ですねーｗ
サイズが167（幅）×108（奥行き）×26.4（厚さ）ミリ、重さ550グラムと、前モデルのU101くらべ、約２分の１に・・・。まぁ、キーボード無いので軽くなるのは当然ですかね。
ポイントは、OSがWindows XP Tablet PC Editionではなく、通常のWindows XP HomeEditionになっていること。そのため、手書き入力用の「NEXTTEXT」や、画面に直接ラインを描ける「PenPlus for VAIO」などの独自のユーティリティがある。
ほとんどのソフトが制限なく使えるって事ですかねー。タブレットPCに制限あるか知らないですけど。
CPUが、超低電圧版 Celeron M/900MHzです。まぁ、妥当な線ですかね。
ソニースタイル版が超低電圧版 Pentium M プロセッサー 1GHzで駆動時間も0.5時間長いみたいです。
値段ですが、Celeron方が、178,290円(税抜169,800円)、Pentium Mの方が209,790円(税抜199,800円)となっています。(ソニースタイル価格）
Celeronの方、税込15万だったら考えちゃうですけどねー。
